This is a very difficult to come by title in the trust or mint condition market-ready silkscreen group from the 1972-3 period. Only one screening is believed to have been done of it, and in very striking color tones. Although it shares some elements of ~Down to the Sea~ it is a harbor scene and it is thought to be a stand alone title rather than a variation of a previous title. The title ~Forest of Spars~ is doubly apropo in that the schooners of this period were actually hauling timber. The turn of the century was the heyday of this booming industry in the Northwest and the Tall Ships and lumber schooners had to be parked sideways in order to make room for more.
